There is plenty of interesting reading added this month with a series of articles covering everything from astrophotography to Ancient Astronomy. A couple of brief snippets here... Countless amateur astronomers find that astrophotography is an extremely rewarding hobby. It's an excellent means by which to capture the wonderful celestial objects we appreciate most of all, and it affords us a straightforward way to share them with colleagues. In times past the notion which one would most naturally form of the earth and heaven is that the solid earth on which we live and move extends to a great distance in every direction, and that the heaven is an immense dome upon the inner surface of which the stars are fixed. ------------------------------------------------------- Your Particpation would be appreciated Telescope Reviews : If you have any thoughts relating to your telescope, why not share them with other amateur astronomers. Televue The TeleVue NP127is telescope is the largest refractor in the range and sets even higher optical and mechanical quality standards for the serious observer -------------------------------------------------------- Astronomy Day Astronomy Day is an event held annually, and is intended to provide a way of interacting between the public and astronomy enthusiasts, groups and professionals.These events and activities are held at numerous sites all over the World including the United States, England and Canada. -------------------------------------------------------- Televue Piggy Cam The Televue Piggy Cam is a handy accessory and provides a solid platform for astrophotography enthusiasts. The base plate contains a captive lock screw riding in a slot. --------------------------------------------------------
