Nikon Monarch BinocularsNikon Monarch binoculars are available in a number of different configurations, including 8x36, 8x42,10x36,10×42, 10×56, 12×42, and 12×56. They can be fixed to a tripod using an optional tripod adaptor. The (Tripod adaptor TRA-3) is a supplied accessory for the Monarch 12x56.
One challenge with using higher power binoculars is being able to hold them steady. The greater the magnification, the more difficult it becomes to hold them without any shake or vibration. All lenses and prisms in the Monarch series are multilayer-coated for the brightest images and have phase-correction-coated roof prisms for high resolution. They also have a High-reflection mirror-coating prism that makes for a bright image.The High-eyepoint design provides a clear field of view, even for people who wear glasses. Eco-glass optics that are free of lead and arsenic are used for all lenses and prisms, and they are waterproof (up to 1m/3.3 ft. for 5 minutes) and fog-free with nitrogen gas. The turn-and-slide rubber eyecups facilitate easy positioning of eyes at the correct eyepoint, and the addition of rubber armouring for shock resistance give a firm and comfortable grip.
