St. Petersburg Astronomy Club

The St. Petersburg Astronomy Club, SPAC, Inc., has been meeting continuously since 1927. It was incorporated in 1979 as a nonprofit, tax deductible organization. Its 366+ members range from elementary school students to retirees. For almost 50 years SPAC has provided free educational programs for its members and the public
Club Meetings are normally held on the fourth Friday of each month (except November and December when it is on the third Friday) at the Science Center of Pinellas County, 7701 22nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Fl.,at 8:00 P.M. Meetings are open to the public.
Membership in the St. Petersburg Astronomy Club, Inc. is open to anyone, regardless of age, who is interested in astronomy. Meetings are normally held on the fourth Friday of each month (except November and December when it is on the third Friday)at the Science Center of Pinellas County, 7701 22nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Fl., at 8:00 P.M. Meetings are open to the public. Following the meeting we adjourn to a resturant for food and conversation.
The St. Petersburg Astronomy Club and the Pinellas County Science Center host free astronomy programs at each monthly general meeting.
These include lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, and are often combined with observing sessions.
The meetings are held at 8:00 P.M. on the forth Friday of each month at the Science Center of Pinellas County, 7701 22nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL.
