Takahashi Sky 90 Telescope
The Takahashi Sky 90 telescope also referred to as the (FCL-90) is a truly portable design. The 90mm (3") f/5.6 fluorite doublet apochromatic optical system is of outstanding quality, with a focal length of 504mm. The optical tube assembly is only 13.8" long, weighing 7 pounds; small enough for an airline 'carry-on'. Not only is this instrument an excellent choice for astronomy, it can be used as a portable high-quality telescope for birding. The oversized focuser is supplied with adapters for 2" and 1.25" diagonals, and accepts the FS series photographic adapters. Despite having everything completely extended it still only measures about 19". The most recent Takahashi Sky 90 II NSV (New Short Version) telescope model is a truly portable design. The 90mm (3-1/2") f/5.56 fluorite doublet apochromatic optical system is of exceptional high quality. Not only is this scope an outstanding choice for astronomy, it can be used as a portable high-quality telescope for birding, and accepts the FS series photographic adapters. Additionally, you can simply add an optional 5-element Extender-Q and increase the focal ratio to f/8.9 for flat field lunar and planetary photography or increase your range for high magnification work when using the Sky 90 visually. There's also a mounting block on the focuser cell provided for the optional finderscope and bracket. Specifications - Optical System Fluorite Apochromat Doublet
