Which Type Of Camera Should I Choose?

I am interested in getting into astrophotography. I have used an early Fuji camera and have taken a few shots of the Moon, which considering the type of camera and the way it was used didn't come out too bad at all.

The pictures could be a lot better so I have been looking at various options that I could go for without breaking the bank. Which type of camera would be good for the next step?
