WorldWide Telescope is free software from Microsoft that enables your computer to function as a virtual telescope allowing you to explore the universe right from your browser or PC. WWT is an application that runs in Windows that utilizes images and data stored on remote servers enabling you to explore some of the highest resolution imagery of the universe available in multiple wavelengths. WorldWide Telescope (WWT) enables your computer to function as a virtual telescope, bringing together imagery from the best ground and space-based telescopes in the world. You can experience narrated guided tours from astronomers and educators featuring interesting places in the sky. You can move around the sky by clicking with your left mouse and dragging the screen. There are multiple mouse and keyboard commands for rotating and tilting the view, and zooming in and out. Right-click on any object to learn more about it. If you prefer to watch a guided tour conducted by experts you can do that as well. You can choose from a growing number of guided tours of the sky by astronomers and educators from some of the most famous observatories and planetariums in the country. Pause the tour at any time and explore on your own (with multiple information sources for objects at your fingertips), and rejoin the tour where you left off.
